Costumes must adhere to the student dress code
Costumes must allow students to move around the building and participate in classroom activities, without causing danger to themselves or others.
Inflatable costumes are not permitted.
Costumes may not include any simulated weapons of any kind.
Students may not wear a mask over their face. If your costume includes a mask, it must remain on the top of your head.
Costumes may not include references to drugs or alcohol.
Out of a deep respect and appreciation for our men and women in the armed forces and our democracy, costumes may not include military or political aspects.
Any costume that demeans or insults any gender, gender identity, race, disability, political affiliation, or religious/ethnic group is strictly prohibited as a violation of the State HIB statute.
Please note that these guidelines are non-negotiable. Should any administrator or staff member find a costume is inappropriate, the student will be asked to change out of his/her costume.
Any student who has questions about these guidelines, or would like to confirm his/her costume is appropriate, please email me.
Yours in getting Kit Kats as treats,
