WordMasters Club

• If so, then WordMasters is for you!

Students in grades 5-8 will have the opportunity to participate in the WordMasters Club to encourage growth in vocabulary and verbal reasoning. Students will work on vocabulary lists and challenges specific to their grade levels. WordMasters Club helps students learn to think both analytically and metaphorically while expanding their vocabulary and problem-solving skills.

Students will be challenged to master high-level vocabulary and begin noticing relationships among the words on each list. We will work on understanding and mastering word meaning through group discussion, games, and various interactive activities. Additionally, we will explore some strategies to use to better help us solve analogies with greater accuracy. We will work on this objective through the completion of analogy puzzles and the discussion of the verbal reasoning strategies that lead to correct answers.
